FMLC at the 7th Conference on accompanying the incurable patient and death

On April 20 and 21, the Auditorium of Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid will host the 7th Conference on Accompanying the Incurable Patient and Death. This event is committed to emotion, care, sensitivity, and the breaking of taboos surrounding the end of life.

In this edition, Sara Losantos will give a presentation on white magic and the power of narrative, exploring how words, symbols, and stories can transform emotional and spiritual support during times of greatest vulnerability.

Over the course of two days, experts from diverse fields will share reflections on suicide and grief, self-care through meditation, writing and art, as well as the development of tools for diversity and dialogue. This space invites us to look beyond the sick body and to understand the value of each end-of-life moment as part of the vital and relational process.

At FMLC, we are proud to take part in an initiative that originated in pediatric intensive care and has continued to expand its vision year after year—embracing all spheres of care —patients, families, and professionals—, reaffirming our commitment to more humane and sensitive attention to death and suffering.
